CITROËN VAUXHALL. OPEL. 320i, CITROËN Visa GTi. Astra GT/E & 1.8i. Manta-B GT/E. 323i workshop manual pdf

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION TROUBLE-SHOOTING LE/LE2/LU System Description General The LE/LE2/LU-Jetronic system is a development of the earlier Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injection system. LE is the German designation of the European version of their air flow meter, with LU being the designation of the US version, i.e. a system incorporating a lambda sensor and lambda correction in the control unit. This system measures the volume of air inducted. The measurements must therefore be corrected to allow for air temperature and a separate air temperature sensor is used to do this. This provides the data required to arrive at the amount of fuel to be injected as determined by the lambda sensor and the corrections it makes in the control unit. Summary - Car Models The following car models are equipped with LE/LE2/LU Jetronic: BMW CITROËN VAUXHALL OPEL 320i Visa GTi Astra GT/E & 1.8i Manta-B GT/E 323i CX 25 Belmont 1.8i Rekord 2000i 318i CX 25 Turbo 2 Cavalier 1800 Rekord 2.2i 518i Carlton 2000i Senator 2.5E 520i Carlton 2.2i & 3.0E 525i Monza 3.0E 528i 628 CSi 728i VOLVO PEUGEOT FIAT LANCIA 360 GLE/GLT 205 GTi 1.6/CTi Uno Turbo ie Thema 2000 ie 205 GTi 1.9 Croma 2000 ie Turbo Thema Turbo ie 309 XS/SRi/GTi Delta HF 4¥4 505 GTi Please check the workshop manual to verify if the actual car is equipped with a system described in this manual.

Free Citroen engine handbook Haynes manual

CAMSHAFT CHANGE & BREAK IN Clean your camshaft when necessary with a soft towel. Don’t remove the coating on cams and rear journal. Oil well the cams, rear journal and main bearing. Don’t forget to oil the followers on their outside and their guide bore in crankcase. A drop of oil inside the followers will oil the pushrod bottom end. After changing your camshaft in your engine, reassemble your engine following the engine Manufacturer (Citroen engine handbook, Haynes manual). Start your engine with oil, but no ignition, to build up oil pressure in the oil circuit. A filled oil filter will be very helpful. Now, when oil pressure is stabilized, build in the spark plugs, connect the coil etc. Start your engine. Let the engine run at 3.500 RPM during 20 minutes! Don’t discuss or think about that : DO IT ! After this procedure you have break in your camshaft and followers to nearly 80-90 % ! The last 10 % of the break in procedure are done on daily driving. Never try to let run a new grinded camshaft with old followers: You ruin the new camshaft lobes in minutes, an expensive experience! Tightening main bolts/nuts for engine rebuilding (all threads oiled) : Main bearing bolts, diameter 10mm M 10 to 45 NM (Newton/meter): All engines. Front bolts 8mm M8 (only VISA twin): 25 to 28 NM Crankcase bolts 7mm M7 : 15 to 20 NM Head stus nuts 8mm M8 : 28 to 30 NM in 2 or 3 times. Number 1 is at top on fan side Number 2 is at top rear, flywheel side Number 3 is at bottom between pushrods Valve cover nut: 0,5 - 0,8 NM Flywheel bolts : Face of crankshaft and flywheel degreased, coated with Loctite. 2CV: (5 bolts) torque 60 - 80 NM in 2 times VISA : (6 bolts) torque 80 NM idem as above

101-108 live-in romahome 5/8/01 4:27 PM Page 1 HELLO HYLO! Romahome Duo Hylo on Citroen Berlingo 1.9D Peter Vaughan tries the latest in a long line of Citroen-based Romahomes, and finds that the same basic Island Plastics design just keeps getting better The Citroen C15-based Romahome has been with us since 1986 and, despite recurring rumours of its impending demise, the little Anglo-French camper continues to thrive in the new millennium. That's all the more remarkable when you consider that the Citroen Visa car, from which the C15 van was derived, dates back to 1975. And the Visa was itself a development of the Peugeot 104, circa 1972. Island Plastics themselves have tried to put a nail or two in the coffin of the old faithful Romahome, by reinventing the model in the form of the Duo. Launched in 1997, the Romahome Duo is undoubtedly prettier and the glass fibre body sits on a much more up-to-date chassis, that of the Citroen Berlingo. Duo costs just £2000 more than the (aptly) renamed C15- based Romahome Classic, but still some buyers stick with the older model. Perhaps that was, in part, due to the lack of a Hylo (rising roof) version, though that gap in the range from the Isle of Wight company was plugged at the end of 1999. Now at last we've managed to get hold of this latest mini-motorhome, thanks to Southampton-based dealer, Freeborn Garages. A brand-new Duo Hylo was ours for five days last winter, when we used the little 'van to MOTORCARAVAN MOTORHOME MONTHLY JUNE 2001 101

Body beautiful With the C15-based Romahome it was always the Hytop model that had the looks. Early Hylos were distinctly odd - even if they had an innovative compressor-operated roof. The 'mark two', which survives to this day, is slightly neater and uses more conventional gas struts, whilst retaining a roof that slides down over the top of the whole body. The newer Duo was designed with the help of an outside design consultant (well known in motorcaravanning circles) and the result is certainly handsome. The curvy body suits the Berlingo well, but the original curved windows came in for a degree of criticism. The forward window was designed to give rear passengers a good view, but that's only relevant with

installation manual 123\2CV, 123\UNI & 123\EVO old situation with points new situation with 123\2CV Installation Instructions All ”123ignition\2CV” modules are designed for the stock (black) 2CV-coil but are also compatible with high current (brown) VISA coils. Previous models of the 123\2CV would get damaged by the VISA coil, so do not use a VISA coil with those! STEP 1 Turn the ignition off. Remove the engine fan use a long 14 mm socket or similar to unscrew the bolt holding it, once the bolt is removed, the fan comes loose by putting a rod or the socket in it and tapping sideways with a hammer whilst the other hand pulls the fan from the engine. Once the fan is removed unscrew the 5 lower screws (8 mm spanner) and lift the rubber shield to gain access to the points box. Disconnect the wire from the points box and also from the coil. You do not have to remove this wire, it may be useful sometime in the future. STEP 2 Remove the points box along with the capacitor. Set aside the two M7 bolts and square washers. Remove the metal protector plate to gain access to the centrifugal advance mechanism. With two very small screwdrivers you can bend away and remove the small circlip ring from the end of the camshaft so that you can remove the

thrust washer, the centrifugal weights and cam assembly. Put these parts in a ZipLock bag and store in a safe place. STEP 3 Thoroughly clean the area, inspect the point where the camshaft comes out of the block. If the cavity is moist with an excessive amount of oil, you may have an engine problem.
